GoGreen Initiative Hong Kong is a Rise Project aimed to raise awareness of environmental issues. We cannot deny the fact that our environment is constantly changing. However, as our environment changes, so does the need to become increasingly aware of the problems that surround it. With a massive influx of natural disasters, warming and cooling periods, different types of weather patterns and much more, people need to be aware of what types of environmental problems our planet is facing.
As the climate crisis becomes more serious and more obvious, Hong Kong people still remain resistant to decisive and comprehensive action on climate change. Therefore, by providing regular environmental news, tips on how to become more sustainable, and other compelling facts, we hope to make an impact in society and change the ways of living among Hong Kong people, especially youths who are future leaders of the world. FOUNDER
Hey there! I am Donald Lai from Hong Kong! I am a dedicated student with a strong passion for business and economics. At school, I am the founder of the Economics Olympiad Team and the Executive Committee of the Student Council. Outside of school, I am a student ambassador of two charities and an intern at HSBC. I have won multiple awards at competitions such as Tiger Global Case Competition, International Economics Olympiad Winter Challenge, and Hong Kong Division 1 Inter-school Athletics Competition. I am also one of the global finalists in the Rise for the World Challenge, an initiative of Schmidt Futures and the Rhodes Trust.
Additionally, I have diversified interests in multiple fields. Fascinated by Web3 and the technologies behind cryptocurrencies and blockchain, I have invested in several NFT projects in the Solana and Ethereum blockchain. Furthermore, I am a sports enthusiast and enjoy watching football matches and Formula 1 races. I have also been sprinting actively for more than 10 years, and I am a member of the school's athletics team and Athletics Captain of Sargent House.
